This on-site test has results delivered with a travel certificate within 5 hours* and is only available at our Kings Cross and Putney clinics.

This test is available for international travellers who want travel certificate on the same day of the test.  The PCR Swab Test detects the presence of the RNA of the virus itself. This means that it will pick up the presence of the actual virus in the nose, and is 100% sensitive at detecting any trace of the virus. Once your sample has been processed, you will then receive a report signed by a doctor that you can use as your fit-to-fly / travel certificate.

I’m due to travel and require a test, is this suitable?

Yes, you will receive a 'fit to fly' certificate with this test. Once your sample has been processed, you will then receive a report signed by a doctor that you can use as your fit-to-fly / travel certificate. Please see ensure that you are aware of the travel requirements of your airline or country of destination and we recommend you read the latest UK government's travel advice.

*When will I receive my results?

So long as your sample is taken by 1pm, then we will process your test within 5 hours on the same day. Please be aware that in a small percentage of cases, tests need to be re-run which is in an unavoidable reality with such a precise and sensitive laboratory test. Please allow for the possibility that it will be several hours longer to get your results to you.

Do I need to do any preparation before I take my test?

If you are requesting a test for a fit to fly certificate and would like your passport number on the result form, please bring in your documentation to your appointment, or write your passport number on the test request form.

Why and when would I need to take a PCR test?

As travel opens up to more and more destinations, many countries require a negative Covid-19 test result to allow entry into the country, or to avoid a lengthy quarantine period. This is usually taken no more than 48-72 hours before your flight. However, please consult with your airline or the FCO on the exact entry requirements of your destination. There are also many venues, sporting clubs and employers who would like an authorised certificate confirming a person’s status.

Will this test show if I’ve had coronavirus before?
